What to know about the SQ6 Sportback e-tron battery

The SQ6 Sportback e-tron is new enough that most are still on their first battery and under manufacturer warranty. If yours shows a 12V fault, check the warranty first. We can still test it at your location, get the car powered and moving, and tell you honestly whether it is a warranty matter.

The SQ6 Sportback e-tron is fully electric. Everything on this page refers to its 12V battery, the one that wakes the car up. The high-voltage traction battery is a separate system that we do not service.

As an S or RS model, the SQ6 Sportback e-tron runs bigger cooling fans, pumps and audio than the standard car, so it should get the AGM battery at the upper end of the capacity range, not the cheapest one that fits.

The Sportback body changes the boot shape and trim, not the battery. Access and fitting time are the same as the standard SQ6 Sportback e-tron.
