The short answer
The cost of an Audi battery replacement in Dubai depends on the battery technology (AGM or EFB), its size, the brand, whether the car needs coding, and where the battery sits in the car. There is no single figure that fits every Audi. Send the model and year on WhatsApp and we quote the exact amount.
Why is there no single price for an Audi battery?
Audi models do not share one battery. A compact hatchback and a large SUV take batteries of different size, capacity and technology, fitted in different places in the car. A figure quoted without knowing the car is either a guess or the lowest possible case. That is why we do not publish a list and quote against the actual model and year instead.
What decides the cost?
Six things move the quote. Some are about the battery, some about the work, and one is about who does the job. The table summarises each. The sections after it explain the ones that make the biggest difference on an Audi.
| Factor | Why it changes the quote |
|---|---|
| Battery technology | AGM costs more to make than EFB, and both cost more than a conventional battery |
| Size and capacity | A larger case with more Ah contains more material |
| Brand | Makers price the same size and technology differently |
| Coding | Most modern Audis need the new battery registered with a diagnostic tool |
| Battery location | Boot floor and under-seat batteries take more labour than engine bay ones |
| Dealer or mobile service | The two are set up differently and include different things |
How do battery type and size affect the cost?
Technology is usually the biggest factor. AGM batteries are built differently from EFB and sit higher in every maker's range. Size comes next. Larger Audis take a bigger case with more capacity than compact ones. You cannot save by choosing a lower type. Varta's guidance is that AGM is replaced with AGM and EFB with EFB or AGM, and a conventional battery never goes into a start-stop car.
Does the battery location change the labour?
It can. A battery in the engine bay, as on the A3, Q2 and Q3, is quick to reach. One under the luggage floor means emptying the boot and lifting panels. The first-generation Q7 has its battery under the front seat, and the seat has to be moved or unbolted, so that job takes longer. We tell you in the quote if your car is one of the slower ones.
Is battery coding part of the cost?
On most modern Audis the new battery has to be registered with the car using a tool such as VCDS, ODIS or OBDeleven. It takes a few minutes, but it needs the equipment and someone who knows the procedure. When comparing quotes, ask whether coding is included. A quote that leaves it out is not for the same job, and the car will keep managing the new battery as if it were the old one.
Dealer or mobile service: what is the difference?
A dealer fits the battery in its workshop, so the car has to get there, by tow if it will not start, and wait its turn. A mobile service brings the battery to the car at home, at work or at the roadside. We are an independent mobile service, not affiliated with Audi AG. Compare like for like: same technology, same capacity, coding included, and the warranty length.
- Is the battery the same technology as the original, or better?
- Is the capacity in Ah the same?
- Is coding included?
- How long is the warranty, and who honours it?
- Is the old battery taken away?
How do I get an exact quote?
Message us on WhatsApp with the model and year of your Audi. A photo of the label on the fitted battery helps, and for newer cars so does the chassis number. We reply with the battery options that fit and the exact amount for each, fitted and coded. We work 24/7 across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, usually arrive in 20-35 minutes in Dubai, and our batteries carry a warranty of up to 24 months.
